On October 7-9, 2021, the Catholic Medical Association will be hosting its 90th Annual Educational Conference in Orlando, Florida.
The theme of this yearâs conference is âThe Joy of Medicine.â Sessions will include discussions of the work of renowned Catholic physicians with a passion for others, including the Jerome Lejeune Foundation USAâs namesake, Dr. Jerome Lejeune. To show its support of the conference, JLF USA will be providing Dr. Jerome Lejeune prayer cards to all attendees. Complementary copies of the new Dr. Jerome Lejeune biography will also be presented to event organizers.
As the title suggests, the conference aims to help practitioners understand the importance of finding joy in practicing medicine. According to the event website:
âThe plenary sessions of The Joy of Medicine will first explore the nature of joy and its relationship to love and suffering. Second, many speakers will describe how and where they have discovered joy as physicians in an array of settings. Finally, experts will explain how to practically rediscover joy in your life of medicine if joy has become a stranger to you.â
All recorded sessions will be available to attendees after the conference. Select sessions will be CME eligible. For more information about the conference, click here.
