Girl with Down syndrome gets to work at Chick-fil-A for a day

Ten-year-old Mary Lynn Fisher loves Chick-fil-A, and dreams of working there someday. She got the chance to realize her dream the day after Christmas, thanks to the kindness of the manager at her local Chick-fil-A in Memphis, Tennessee.

Mary Lynn and her mom, Eryn had stopped in to eat dinner at the fast food restaurant when Manager James Moseley asked if she would like to help out. The girl, who has Down syndrome, got to hand out orders to customers, and even received her own name tag.

Eryn was so thankful for the experience that she shared about it on Facebook, saying:

That man has no idea what he’s started. She’s convinced she’s going back to work on Saturday! Thank you to the kindness of the employees at this store!

The post has gotten over 1,700 likes and almost 500 shares. Plus, Manager James Moseley responded:

It was such a blessing for me and the team to have the INCREDIBLE opportunity to have M.L. not only join our “staff” that night, but what an amazing joy it was for me to get to hang out with her! She is an incredible young lady and if being a pirate doesn’t work out in the future, Chick-fil-A would be a better place having M.L. work for them!

It’s wonderful that there are people in the world that were kind enough to make this little girl’s day!
