Dear Friend of the Jerome Lejeune Foundation,
As we head into the New Year I would like to give you an overview of what is ahead for the Jerome Lejeune Foundation in 2018… and how you can help.
Next year we begin the process of transforming how adults and children with Down syndrome are cared for as we begin the process to launch a hospital dedicated to serving adults and children with Down syndrome.
This undertaking is urgently needed in the U.S. where many families struggle to find suitable care that is tailored to people with Down syndrome. Adults and children with Down syndrome have special medical needs that many doctors are not familiar with, nor trained to address.
In addition to setting the groundwork for launching the Jerome Lejeune Hospital in 2020, we will be driving many other initiatives in 2018 that are both exciting and informative.
- We will continue to expand the legal work which we begun in Indiana to other states as we fight to end the practice of selectively destroying unborn children with Down syndrome.
- We will continue to keep public institutions accountable, including the United Nations, when their decisions impact those with Down syndrome.
- Madame Lejeune will travel throughout the U.S. in April to promote her husband’s legacy to further research on Down Syndrome and accelerate the launch of the hospital.
- We will continue to advocate actively and loudly on behalf of the unborn children with Down syndrome. This is of critical urgency as we face unprecedented forces trying to radically eliminate all people with Down syndrome. It is pure genocide that must be stopped!
Please consider a tax-deductible year-end gift. Your gift will help us advocate and care for people with Down syndrome in 2018.
Thank you for your generosity. And Happy New Year!
P.S. Our hospital will be dedicated to serving those with Down syndrome. No individual or family will be turned away for financial reasons. Your gift will help support this initiative.
