Did you know that our sister organization, the JĂ©rĂŽme Lejeune Foundation in France, recently partnered with the Holy See’s Dicastery for the Laity, Family and Life to create a new resource educating young people about bioethics? The Keys to Bioethics manual focuses on the issues of abortion and personhood, addressing many common questions about the beginning of life, in-vitro fertilization, embryonic research, euthanasia, and more â and is now available for download in four additional languages.
Kevin Card. Farrell, Prefect of the Dicastery for Laity, Family and Life, commented on the release:
âWith âKeys to Bioethics,â we want to offer young people all over the world a practical way to reply to their concerns and questions arising from the many challenges led by the contemporary scientific and technological progress. These are clear yet comprehensive replies able to help young people grasp the truth and beauty of every human life!â
Jean Marie Le Méné, President of the JérÎme Lejeune Foundation shared:
“‘Keys to Bioethics â A Manual for Youthâ objectively introduces the main questions of bioethics that everyone asks themselves. Being based on science and reason, yet also on the ultimate horizon of theology and the Magisterium of the Church, âKeys to Bioethicsâ allows the reader to understand, in a simple way, thanks to precise and meticulous information, that human life is beautiful and that it is necessary to behold it in awe, in order to remove the obstacles that cloud our understanding of it. If these pages manage to increase our knowledge about life and make us understand that we all have a mission as guardians over every human life, then they will have achieved their goal.”
Though the manual is targeted towards young people, its direct and approachable format makes it a helpful resource for all, and also includes many inspiring testimonies from individuals with Down syndrome and their families. Download your free copy of Keys to Bioethics today!
