John Cradduck, who has Down syndrome, has struggled with ALS for many years. When firefighters and recruits from class 19-1 in Oklahoma City heard that Cradduck especially loves firefighters, they decided to surprise him with a visit and a special gift.
A number of firefighters and recruits from the class came to Cradduck’s bedside, and presented him with a firefighter’s jacket signed by all 48 recruits.
In a Facebook post highlighting the visit, the Oklahoma City Firefighters remarked:
Although very weak, you could still see the joy and excitement in his smile as firefighters presented him the jacket.
