March 21, 2022
Dear Friend – Today on World Down Syndrome Day, we have an important opportunity to help the vulnerable and defenseless. On this very day, the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee is beginning hearings on the confirmation of President Biden’s nominee to the U.S. Supreme Court, Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson. Judge Jackson is a hard-core pro-abortion judge who will use her position on the Supreme Court to further advance the abortion-on-demand agenda, which includes the killing of innocent unborn children with genetic conditions such as Down syndrome. We must fight to stop her.
Please call your U.S. Senators at (202) 224-3121 to oppose Judge Jackson’s confirmation to the Supreme Court.
Ketanji Brown Jackson does not merely have a pro-abortion viewpoint – she once served as a top lawyer for the abortion industry itself! Jackson authored a legal brief on behalf of a Massachusetts abortion clinic seeking to uphold a “buffer zone” designed to keep pro-life supporters from conducting peaceful, prayerful vigils outside the clinics. These vigils have saved countless lives.

There is no group of people more impacted by the abortion-on-demand agenda than those prenatally diagnosed with Trisomy 21, the genetic condition that causes Down syndrome. In the United States, some 67% of children who are diagnosed with Down syndrome in the womb are aborted. Some countries are striving to “end Down syndrome” by aborting every single unborn person with the genetic condition.
The Jerome Lejeune Foundation USA is proudly pro-life and believes that every person is imbued with inherent human dignity. No one deserves to be killed merely because they have a genetic condition such as Down syndrome. We strongly advocate for legal protections against abortions due to a diagnosis of Down syndrome, and currently are urging the U.S. Supreme Court to uphold the pro-life legislation recently enacted in Arkansas.
Help JLF fight for life this World Down Syndrome Day
Today is World Down Syndrome Day, a global awareness day recognized by the United Nations where people around the world come together to advocate for the rights of those with Down syndrome. There are two immediate things you can do today to help us with our advocacy efforts. First, call your U.S. Senators and urge them to oppose the confirmation of Ketanji Brown Jackson, a pro-abortion activist, to the Supreme Court. Second, please make a tax-deductible contribution to JLF USA and help us fight for the rights of those with Down syndrome.

Because you have a heart for those with Down syndrome, you know that they make incredible contributions to their families and communities. Many are able to live independently as adults. Most attend school and receive an education, and some go on to graduate from college. They are valuable members of the workforce. But regardless of their individual circumstances, every single person with Down syndrome, born or unborn, is entitled to our love and respect.
JLF USA is a leading national advocate for the rights of those with Down syndrome, and their families. Unfortunately, unlike the abortion industry, we don’t enjoy the financial backing of big corporations and powerful interest groups. We are a grassroots organization that relies on people of good will like you for support. We would greatly appreciate it if you’d make a generous tax-deductible contribution in recognition of World Down Syndrome Day. If possible, please consider becoming a monthly donor, and help ensure we have a consistently strong financial base from which to fight for the rights of the most vulnerable members of society.

Thank you for your support. Please don’t forget to call your U.S. Senators to oppose the confirmation of Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson to the U.S. Supreme Court. Whatever else might be commendable about her nomination, we cannot support elevating a hard-core abortion advocate to our nation’s highest court, where she will be in a position to significantly influence the promotion of the abortion-on-demand agenda on a national level.
Sincerely,
|
